About us

Our History
Established in 1977, St. Theodore’s is an active congregation of the Episcopal Church located in beautiful Bella Vista, Arkansas. While we are situated in what was once a retirement community, today St. Theodore’s is the church home to a diverse and growing population of young professionals, families and retirees in one of the most livable regions of the country.

Summary of Position

This individual is responsible for parish print and electronic communications, general receptionist responsibilities, personnel administration, and facilities use coordination. The position requires a welcoming and accommodating demeanor, attention to detail, flexibility, and an ability to deal with the unexpected.

Accountability

Reports to the Rector

Answer Phones, Take Messages, and Receive Visitors During Working Hours
Check Email and Take Action as Needed Throughout the Day
Order and Office Supplies
Order and Restock Miscellaneous Cleaning Supplies in coordination with the Junior Warden
Record All Services Held at St. Theodore's and on Behalf of St. Theodore's in the Register of Services Book
Prepare Bulletins for All Services (Weekly and Special Occasions)
Send Weekly Parish News Email to All Parishioners
Produce and Keep Updated Church Directory as Needed (Approximately Quarterly)
Order Plaques for Columbarium and Scattering Garden
Type and Mail Correspondence and Other Documents for Rector as Needed
Help Schedule and Maintain Rector's Calendar as Needed
Interfaces and Communicates with Other Staff, Vestry Members, and Parishioners about Various Church Matters and Provides Support as Needed
Prepare Annual Parochial Report with the Treasurer to the National Church and Diocese of Arkansas
Prepare and Post Sign-Up Sheets and Various Information on Bulletin Boards (including but not limited to Altar Flowers, Sanctuary Candle, etc.)
Data Entry
All Other Duties and Obligations as Directed by the Rector

Specific Qualifications, Education, and Training

Complete an Episcopal Safe Church Training Seminar and all mandated background checks within 30 days of starting employment
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Excel, Google Calendar, WordPress, Social Media Platforms and Constant Contact

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
