CNC Machinist Job Description - Meligun, LLC

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a full-time position supporting ongoing production operations and advanced development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, programming, and fixturing, with hands-on experience operating New Generation HAAS CNC milling machines and a 4th-axis rotary table (HRT210).

This role is critical to our operation and requires the ability to produce high-quality, precision components with tight tolerances up to ±0.001". The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC equipment (2024, 2025 VF-2SS with HRT210 4th-axis) to produce precision components to tight specifications.
Interpret solid models, technical drawings, and blueprints, ensuring compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
Design and build CNC fixtures to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability in production.
Develop fixture solutions using locating features such as pins, dowels, and pockets to ensure precise and consistent workpiece positioning.
Utilize CAM software (MasterCam, Fusion 360) to program, simulate, and optimize machining operations.
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part accuracy.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and industry standards.

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with strong expertise in programming, tooling, and advanced machining processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective workholding solutions through practical problem-solving, iteration, and hands-on testing.
Experience applying lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production workflows.
Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent platforms is required.
Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing precision components that meet exacting quality standards.
