JOB DESCRIPTION

Well established neighborhood Optometry office looking for a reliable office assistant / technician who will help support our Optometrist and work with patients to provide quality customer service. Gain invaluable experience in the health care field while helping patients with their vision care.

The ideal candidate would be organized, efficient, have the desire to excel in a profressional office and may perhaps have aspirations to be an office manager down the road. This is a full-time position. Bilingual in Cantonese is a plus. Excellent customer service skills, professionalism and reliability are required.

Desired skills and qualifications:

Responsible, honest, punctual
Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, lift up to 50 lbs
Happy and friendly attitude
Computer skills, including WORD and EXCEL and Google Docs
Bilingual in Cantonese is a plus

Your job will include:

· Patient check-in / check -out
· Answering phones
· Scheduling
· Insurance authorizations
· Billing insurance
· Filing
· Advising clients with frame selection, adjustment, minor frame repairs
· Maintaining office - vacuum, windows, dusting, sweeping
· Miscellaneous office duties

Administrative Duties:

Scheduling
Running errands
Stocking supplies
Sorting packages/inventory and sending mail
Answering calls and taking messages
Greeting visitors

Financial Duties:

Processing payments
Billing
Payroll
Purchasing

Setting:

Medical

Ergonomic Workspace:

Schedule:

Weekends required
Monday to Friday
