Patient Treatment and Care Coordinator / Front Desk Receptionist

Full-Time | Pediatric Dental Office | Burlingame, CA

Monday-Friday (weekdays only) 8:30am-5:00pm

Every child's dental visit begins with the person who welcomes them through our front door. At Burlingame Pediatric Dentistry, we're looking for a warm, positive, and professional Front Desk Receptionist who is a great communicator and enjoys creating a positive experience for families. If you naturally make people feel comfortable, stay organized and calm in a busy environment, and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

We're a privately and women-owned pediatric dental practice that prides itself on exceptional patient care, a positive team culture, and building lasting relationships with our families. We are growing our team and adding a 2nd Treatment Coordinator. Whether you already have dental front office experience or have a strong background in customer service, we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, dependable, and excited to contribute their strengths within our practice.

As the first and last person our families interact with each visit, you'll help create a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience by:

Greeting patients and families with a warm, friendly tone and smile
Checking patients in and out
Scheduling and confirming appointments while helping to keep our schedule full and efficient
Answering phones, emails, and patient messages professionally
Assisting families with insurance questions, benefits, estimates, and financial policies
Collecting payments and reviewing account balances
Coordinating treatment scheduling and follow-up appointments
Verifying insurance benefits and submitting pre-authorizations
Following up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
Maintaining accurate patient records and communication logs
Helping keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
Supporting the doctors and clinical team to ensure every patient has an exceptional experience
Pitching in wherever needed to help the practice run smoothly

Looking for a long-term position where they can grow professionally
Knowledge of PPO dental insurance and billing
Experience with dental practice management software (we use Open Dental)
