Full-Time Live-Out Nanny/Housekeeper

Ridgefield, CT | Monday–Friday | $30–$35/hour | ASAP Start

A busy family in Ridgefield, Connecticut is seeking a dependable, flexible, and experienced Nanny/Housekeeper to care for three children, ages 8, 6, and 4, while providing light, child-focused household support.

This is an active and sometimes hectic household, so the family is looking for someone with a calm, confident, and steady personality who can easily adapt to changing schedules and keep the children engaged and on routine.

Schedule

Monday–Friday 12:00 PM–7:00 PM
Schedule can vary from week to week based on the family's needs
Occasional evenings until 9:00–10:00 PM
Family provides advance notice of schedule changes whenever possible

Responsibilities

Pick-ups and transportation to activities
Active supervision and engagement with the children
Encourage outdoor play and activities after school
Help with homework and daily routines
Manage sibling dynamics with patience and consistency
Children's laundry and making beds
Dishes and kitchen clean-up
Basic meal preparation for the children
Tidying children's spaces and common areas
Light household errands as needed

All housekeeping is child-focused and intended to support the family's daily routines.

About the Children

The family has three children, ages 8, 6, and 4. Two children are in school. The children are active and have different personalities and needs. One child can experience big emotions and requires a nanny who is patient, consistent, and emotionally steady. Their son is very active and loves being outdoors, and the family strongly encourages outdoor play rather than screen time after school.

Requirements

Professional childcare experience
Experience caring for multiple children
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Comfortable driving children using a vehicle provided by the family
Ability to work a flexible Monday–Friday schedule
Willingness to occasionally work later evenings
Local candidates only — relocation assistance is not available

Compensation

$30–$35/hour, depending on experience.
