POUR AUTHORITY is a new restaurant in the heart of Farmingdale NY, featuring Long Island's first self pour draft system with 40 taps.

Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and organized HOSTS to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations when necessary.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving for resolution and positive guest relations.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservations and guest management.

Skills

Previous host or food service experience is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly TOAST POS, is an advantage.
Experience in hotel or guest services is beneficial.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with guests positively.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
