Job Title: Educational Accreditation Coordinator (Administrative Assistant)

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) is seeking an individual to join our international education team supporting more than 400 international schools in more than 90 countries around the world as they engage in school improvement through accreditation.

We are looking for someone to assist with all levels of administrative support of the accreditation process including drafting and editing official correspondence, managing reports and data, and scheduling and supporting school visits, workshops, and other activities.

The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) is a nonprofit membership organization which partners with over 1500 public, independent, and international schools in the US and worldwide to assess, support, and promote high quality education for all students through accreditation, professional assistance, and pursuit of best practices.

Founded in 1885, NEASC has a long tradition of school improvement across the 6 states of New England and in more than 85 countries around the world. Today NEASC focuses on the accreditation of schools spanning from PK to Grade 12 and, as a deeply mission-driven organization, is guided by key priorities which include advancing equity, promoting innovation and excellence in education, and empowering students.

NEASC is made up of three Commissions (independent, international, and public) which work in close partnership to ensure quality education for all students. NEASC has a full-time staff of 40 and a global network of thousands of volunteers.

Position Summary:

As part of the Commission on International Education team, the Educational Accreditation Coordinator will provide administrative support to facilitate the accreditation process through drafting and editing communications to schools and volunteers, data management, and coordination of accreditation team visits to schools. The person in this role will also assist with the coordination and support of meetings and workshops as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong written communication, attention to detail, and administrative support skills. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in the office.

What you will do (responsibilities include):

Manage school, volunteer, and visit data accurately throughout NEASC systems.
Write and edit official correspondence with schools related to visit management and accreditation decisions.
Support the assembly and management of visiting teams, including communications with volunteers and school leadership.
Provide support across a range of other activities in support of the work of accreditation including managing report workflows, supporting meetings and workshops, and monitoring billing activities with the business office.
Cross-train with commission staff to maintain proficiency in work processes throughout NEASC.

You embrace technology:

You have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365. Your technical proficiency gives you the confidence to easily learn new tools and processes.

What you bring:

1-3 years of administrative/office experience.
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or work experience demonstrating the key skillsets
Prior knowledge of/experience with the accreditation process and team management is not required. Training will be provided.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional lifting of file boxes or meeting materials (up to 25 pounds).
