Full Job Description

The Plumbing Service Project Manager will provide excellent service to clients, partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner. The Project Manager will maintain Pro-Craft’s outstanding reputation for quality service and performance that our customers reply on.

Job description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop project estimates.
Develop project labor and material values.
Request quotes for fixture, equipment, and large material purchases from vendors.
Assisted in developing initial budgets and estimates for design-build projects.
Review all RFI’s for project understanding, costs, and risks.
Review bid documents, Contracts, and Letters of Intent to verify the scope of the projects.
Attend Meetings with various owners, developers, & general contractors if required.
Complete accurate estimate takeoff using onscreen estimating software.
Evaluate and communicate project risk- Manage multiple bids while meeting rigorous deadlines in a high-pressure work environment.
Organize previous takeoffs and estimates for future project review and time study.
Perform subcontractor and vendor estimate reviews.
Assisted in developing initial budgets and estimates for design-build projects. Review cost estimates with management for potential scope gaps and finalize bid for submission.
Analyze subcontractor scope and select completer and more competitive price.
Understand the workings and sequencing of a project including construction schedule, tie-in, and shutdowns.
Obtain and negotiate the best possible pricing from suppliers and subcontractors within company Code of Ethics.
Implement safety operations and assist company with overseeing best workplace and job site safety practices.
Travel to bidding “job walks”, job site assessments and prepare/take notes and photographs for bidding and work use.

Technical Skills:

Ability to understand general and construction project scope and concepts, while determining potential risks and devising a plan to address them even before a project begins.
Ability to have an affinity for the latest innovations that can help improve efficiency, collaboration, and success rates.
Must have excellent communication skills while interacting with customers, vendors, and employees, in a friendly and professional manner-on the telephone/E-mail and in person.
Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic.

Management Skills:

Collaborate with management team to develop a vision and then continually communicate that vision throughout the organization, working with the team to achieve the vision.
Must be financially aware to deliver targets, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance.
Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and maintain a strong sense of attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively to manage customer relationships, in addition to strong planning and organization skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiency.
Must work efficiently in a demanding environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to delegate tasks and clearly explain the job to be done, with trust in colleagues and team members to complete their tasks.
Ability to create an environment where team members can be honest and open in communicating with each other, understanding each team member’s communication style, and able to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

ORGANIZED: Sense of urgency with ability to set priorities and build action plans to drive timely execution. Thorough, methodical, and result-oriented with great attention to detail.
PROBLEM-SOLVING: Able to identify patterns beyond noise or incomplete information by demonstrating a willingness to engage in asking questions and articulating relevant problem statements and drive toward logical conclusions and decision points.
DETAILED: Attention to detail, able to segregate beliefs and assumptions from facts. Demonstrate strong judgment to turn information into insights, practical solutions, and decision-ready recommendations.
AGILE: Hands-on with ability to shift back and forth from self-reliance and personal accountability to cross-group collaboration while making others successful along the way. Adaptable and willing to adjust style to audience, learn and grow with the company.

Qualifications: Can we move this section up to the top before Technical Skills?

Must have field experience in either mechanical, plumbing, electrical or fire sprinkler fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in public and private contracting.
High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in construction science and management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or similar in the related field a plus.
Construction project Management certification a plus
Experience in facility maintenance, or service and repair a plus.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes
Considerable knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of the plumbing trade.
Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications (required)
Knowledge and experience with an estimating software (preferred)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must successfully complete an employment background check including a drug screening.

Competitive Wages: $75,000 to $115,000 Annual Salary. Applicants, please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
