Full Job Description

Northwest Registered Agent is looking to add to our team in our brand-new Birmingham, Alabama office located at 2121 1st Ave N Birmingham, AL. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, in-office position working alongside an awesome set of teammates as we establish this new office.

We are seeking self-motivated self-starters who can also demonstrate patience and adaptability. In this fast-paced position, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

What You'll Do

Every day is different. We operate in a fast-paced environment and expect our team to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. You'll wear multiple hats as needs shift throughout the week, some days mail processing takes priority, other days you're focused on walk-in clients or filing deadlines. Here's what a typical week includes:

Help establish the office – As part of a brand-new team, you'll help set up processes, workflows, and day-to-day operations as the office launches. You'll work with your manager, remote teams, and internal support to build how this office operates. This requires flexibility, problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity.
Process mail – Open, scan, file, and send out mail accurately and within set timelines.
Process Service of Process – Process and upload Service of Process documents to our portal.
Handle business filings – Research requirements, prepare filings, submit to the Secretary of State, and monitor status to ensure everything moves forward on time and accurately.
Support clients directly – Answer client questions via email and phone; help walk-in clients understand their options and move forward with their business needs.
Problem-solve and own it – Identify issues before they become problems, research answers, coordinate with teammates (both local and remote experts) to solve client problems, and follow through without needing reminders.
Learn continuously – Build expertise across our services, products, and how we help clients—stay curious and adaptable as your responsibilities grow.
Support your teammates – Help where needed, share what you've learned, and be someone others can count on.

We're Seeking People Who

Are comfortable with computer systems and online research.

Are collaborative and coachable.
Available to work in-office daily, Monday–Friday.

Bonus: Background in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other customer-facing roles; we know you've dealt with difficult situations and high-pressure moments, and we value those skills.

Starting Wage: $18.50/hour + $2/hour in-office increase (In-office stipend may change based on role or business decision)
