HHS the state's largest agency is seeking an HR Business Partner to help drive HR success and make a strategic impact within the agency in Bismarck, ND.
As an HR Business Partner for ND Department of Health and Human Services (ND HHS), you will serve as a strategic partner, aligning Human Resource strategy with business objectives. You will collaborate with both external agency customers and internal stakeholders (leadership and team members) through HR programs and practices in coordination with other HR team members. In this role, you will provide guidance on team member engagement, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, workforce planning, compensation, and more. You will also drive HR initiatives and act as a change agent, championing new and modified HR programs that align with the agency's goals.
This position will also be responsible for light project management and coordination of work projects and initiatives amongst peers.
To be successful in this position, you must have a deep understanding of HR strategy and business operations. You will need to be able to develop integrated solutions, manage change, and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and team members. You should possess strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to guide managers through organizational change and workforce planning while fostering a positive and productive environment.
Location
ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position will be located in the Capitol building in Bismarck, ND.

Summary of Work
You must have the following:

A bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, organizational psychology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR strategy development, talent management, performance management, and policy application.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to assess and analyze HR data, and the ability to contribute to executive-level projects.
Preference will be given to candidates:

That possess certification in the HR field and with experience in large organizations with multiple locations.

With HR experience in a government setting.
