Description:

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to lead payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment for key areas of our organization.

This is a high-visibility role with the potential to make a significant impact in a fast-growing company with strong employee engagement. This position reports to the Head of HR and requires in-office presence of five days per week. In addition, the incumbent may be asked to occasionally work from our Florence, NJ location.

Key Responsibilities include:

Payroll:
Process payroll weekly, ensuring the accuracy of all payments to associates.
Review employees’ time sheets and partner with Supervisors to verify employee hours worked.
Update salary information when employees receive an increase or promotion.
Create reports to manage payroll payments, deductions, and other regular modifications.
Manage payroll errors and correct issues for employees.
Generalist Duties:
Be the lead Administrator and ensure accuracy of all data in the Paycom (HRIS system).
Duties include managing core processes such as position management, creating and maintaining accurate requisitions for talent management, creating performance reviews, leading open enrollment, creating learning paths, etc.
Conduct benefits overviews for new hires, assisting employees with the enrollment process as needed.
Leave administration (i.e. FMLA)
Lead new hire orientation. Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
Participate in the annual benefits renewal process.
Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.
Respond to employment verification, unemployment, etc. inquiries.
Will be involved in employee relations issues and investigations.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Recruitment:
Lead efforts for all non-exempt roles and salaried positions as requested.
Create a recruitment plan and calendar according to operations and warehouse projections.
Schedule background checks and drug screens, and create all offer process documents.
Maintain recruitment dashboard including days to fill and cost per hire.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED.
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or Management is strongly preferred.
Candidates without Paycom (HRIS) system will not be considered.
Advanced level of knowledge of HR laws and regulations (i.e. FLSA, FMLA, ADA)
A minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience is required.
Experience with high-volume recruitment is a strong plus.
Experience in managing employee relations issues (i.e., partnering with managers on performance discussions, conducting investigations) is a very strong plus.
Advanced level of proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
Outstanding organizational skills are required.
Pass pre-employment testing (background and drug screen).
