About Us

Electronic Communication Systems (ECS) has served public safety agencies for over 37 years. We design, install, and maintain emergency communications systems, outdoor warning sirens, mass notification systems, radio systems, and 911 dispatch center technology throughout Indiana and surrounding states.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a hybrid administrative and customer support role with a planned career path into outside sales and account management.

Position Summary

This position will begin by supporting sales, customer service, proposal preparation, scheduling, and project coordination. As experience and knowledge grow, the successful candidate will transition into customer meetings, account management, and business development opportunities throughout the Midwest.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in public safety technology sales.

Responsibilities

Initially the Administrative Coordinator will spend an estimated 70-80% of their time in administrative coordination and 20-30% supporting sales and customers.

Check email and messages to prioritize customer requests.
Answer and route incoming calls appropriately.
Prepare quotations and proposals
Manage customer follow-up and communications
Schedule meetings and coordinate projects
Assist with marketing and customer outreach
Maintain CRM and customer records
Attend customer meetings and site visits
Learn public safety communications systems
Support trade shows and industry events
Develop relationships with public safety agencies, schools, utilities, and municipalities

Qualifications

Strong communication and organizational skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Comfortable learning technical products
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel occasionally
Sales experience preferred but not required
