Carpet Weaver’s Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Furniture Gallery Specialist to support the merchandising, operations, and customer service needs of our Furniture, Accessories, and Area Rug departments across our Central Illinois store locations.

This position plays a key role in maintaining visually appealing showrooms, supporting store teams, executing promotions, and ensuring our furniture departments are presented to the highest standards.
The Furniture Gallery Specialist works closely with the Furniture Division Director and Store Managers to oversee merchandising execution, inventory coordination, customer claim resolution, product support, purchasing assistance, and promotional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Travel weekly to Carpet Weaver’s Inc. store locations throughout Central Illinois to support furniture department operations.
- Execute merchandising plans, floor resets, seasonal displays, and promotional events.
- Maintain accurate pricing, signage, product tags, barcodes, and merchandise presentation.
- Conduct floor walks to identify sold items, restocking opportunities, display concerns, and missing tags.
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing furniture, accessories, and area rug displays.
- Communicate sales trends, inventory needs, product feedback, and merchandising opportunities with leadership.
- Process furniture, accessories, carpet, and area rug customer claims, including documentation, photos, and follow-up.
- Coordinate repairs and communicate with service providers and manufacturers as needed.
- Maintain area rug displays, samples, catalogs, clearance tagging, and inventory organization.
- Train and support store teams with product knowledge, selling techniques, and department processes.
- Assist with inventory preparation, audits, reconciliation, purchasing, and stock purchase orders.
- Support marketing initiatives through furniture-related photos, videos, and promotional content.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel weekly to Carpet Weaver’s Inc. locations throughout Central Illinois.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely climb ladders.
- Strong organization, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with store teams and leadership.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Visual merchandising experience.
- Furniture, flooring, carpet, home décor, or interior design experience.
- Retail sales or store operations experience.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
