About Us

At Thunderdome Restaurant Group, we build high-energy, memorable dining experiences around great food, incredible drinks, and genuine hospitality.

The Eagle Food & Beer Hall is expanding! Known for our legendary fried chicken, craft beer selection, blues tunes, and unmatched vibe, we are thrilled to bring a brand-new location to Deerfield, Ohio. To make this launch a massive success, we’re looking for a passionate, dynamic Assistant Kitchen Manager to help lead the line and run a rock-solid back of house.

The Role

As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you aren't just managing prep lists—you’re setting the standard for food execution, speed, and kitchen culture. You will work side-by-side with the Kitchen Manager and General Manager to lead daily BOH operations, mentor a skilled line crew, enforce food safety, and ensure every plate of fried chicken and southern-inspired comfort food leaves the line flawless.

What You’ll Do

Lead from the Front: Run the line during high-volume peak hours, ensuring legendary food quality, ticket time speed, and consistency.
Build & Inspire: Help recruit, train, develop, and retain top-tier line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Drive Results: Assist leadership with BOH inventory, labor efficiency, food waste control, and prep management.
Champion Quality & Safety: Maintain rock-solid standards for food safety, sanitation, station cleanliness, and proper recipe execution.
Embody the Culture: Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun work environment where the kitchen team works as a cohesive unit under pressure.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 2+ years of high-volume kitchen experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (Shift Lead, Lead Line Cook, or AKM).
Leadership: A hands-on coach with strong communication skills and a passion for developing back-of-house talent.
Operational Chops: Solid understanding of food safety regulations (ServSafe Manager certified preferred), food costing/waste management, and kitchen prep execution.
Vibe: High energy, cool head under heat, and a deep passion for great comfort food and hospitality.
