Admissions Coordinator – Behavioral Health Sales

Salary: $55,000–$70,000 + Uncapped Performance-Based Commission
Location: Marlton, NJ — Onsite

Milestone Addiction Treatment is looking for a driven, persuasive, and compassionate Admissions Coordinator to join our growing team in Marlton, NJ.

Make no mistake: this is a sales role. You'll manage leads, build relationships, overcome objections, follow up relentlessly, and be accountable for converting opportunities into admissions.

But unlike most sales positions, what you're selling can genuinely change someone's life.

You'll often be the first person a prospective client or family speaks with when they're considering treatment. Your job is to build trust quickly, understand what's standing in the way, create urgency when appropriate, and help people take the next step toward treatment.

What You'll Do

Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, families, healthcare professionals, and referral partners.
Build rapport quickly and guide prospective clients through the admissions process from initial inquiry through arrival.
Conduct pre-assessments and gather the information needed to determine clinical appropriateness.
Coordinate insurance verification and help prospective clients understand their treatment options.
Manage both branded and unbranded inbound leads and adapt your approach based on each caller's situation and readiness for treatment.
Identify and overcome barriers to admission, including finances, travel, family concerns, employment, fear, and uncertainty about treatment.
Own your pipeline by maintaining consistent follow-up and keeping prospective clients moving toward a decision.
Use Salesforce or a comparable CRM to manage leads, opportunities, follow-ups, and activity.
Respond quickly to new opportunities and maintain a strong speed-to-lead.
Develop relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
Participate in an after-hours rotation to ensure prospective clients receive support when they need it.
Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to create a smooth transition into treatment.
Track your performance against conversion rates, admissions goals, KPIs, and other measurable targets.

We're looking for someone who combines sales ability with emotional intelligence.

You should be comfortable asking difficult questions, handling objections, following up consistently, and asking someone to make a decision—while recognizing that the person on the other end of the phone may be experiencing one of the most difficult moments of their life.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in behavioral health admissions, healthcare sales, inside sales, consultative sales, or another high-volume sales environment.
Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline and converting leads into customers or clients.
Experience working against KPIs, conversion goals, and performance targets.
Strong CRM experience; Salesforce experience is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-ups without letting leads fall through the cracks.
Experience within behavioral health or substance use treatment is highly preferred.
