About the Agency : The Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) provides administration, leadership, and coordination for secondary and post-secondary programs in career technical education (CTE) across the state of Idaho. With a customer-service focus, the Division leads Idaho’s efforts to prepare youth and adults for high-skill, in-demand careers.

Summary: The Training Coordinator provides statewide coordination and operational support for Fire Service Training (FST) programs within IDCTE. This position is responsible for coordinating training delivery, managing logistics, maintaining instructor and course records, and supporting program operations. Working with the FST Program Director and team, the Coordinator ensures training activities are effectively scheduled, resourced, and delivered across the state. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Training Coordination and Delivery

Coordinate scheduling and delivery of fire service training programs across Idaho.
Schedule instructors and maintain instructor cadre records, certifications, and availability.
Maintain course curriculum and support alignment with national training standards.
Coordinate logistics for training events, including facilities, equipment, and materials.

Program Operations and Logistics

Manage training logistics, including equipment, props, and FST assets.
Coordinate maintenance, repair, and readiness of training equipment.
Support development and tracking of training schedules and program priorities.

Stakeholder Coordination and Support

Collaborate with fire departments, instructors, and partners to support training delivery.
Provide customer service and communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Translate technical fire service training information into clear, usable guidance.

Project and Administrative Coordination

Track program priorities, timelines, and deliverables to support program goals.
Prepare reports, documentation, and materials related to training activities.
Support budget tracking and assist with program expenditures as assigned.

Program Support and Continuous Improvement

Support development and implementation of program initiatives and improvements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to maintain and improve curriculum and training resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience coordinating programs, projects, or events.
- Typically gained by: Managing schedules, logistics, or projects involving multiple stakeholders and timelines.
Experience organizing and managing multiple priorities.
- Typically gained by: Handling competing tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience communicating and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Typically gained by: Working with partners, customers, or teams to coordinate activities or deliver services.
Experience providing customer service or responding to inquiries.
- Typically gained by: Assisting stakeholders, resolving issues, and providing information in a professional setting.
Experience working with data, records, or tracking systems.
- Typically gained by: Maintaining program records, tracking information, or supporting reporting processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience working in fire service, emergency services, or related fields.
Experience coordinating training programs or instructional delivery.
Experience managing equipment, inventory, or logistics.
Experience facilitating meetings, training, or presentations.
Experience using Microsoft Office or similar tools.
