Full Job Description

Peine Osteopathic Medicine is searching for a new medical practice receptionist. We are an integrative medical clinic composed of two physicians and a nurse practitioner providing a holistic approach to health and disease. We specialize in treating a wide array of medical conditions using a variety of approaches including traditional osteopathic manual medicine, functional medicine, nutrition, and mind-body measures. Many patients find our clinic after failing to find assistance within the conventional medical system. We are unique in our supportive, patient-centered approach based upon healthy, strong relationships between our patients, our providers, and our staff.

The medical practice receptionist will have a number of roles in our clinic, including management of patient appointments, answering phone calls, and handling patient payments. Our practice utilizes an electronic medical records system with integrated practice management functions. Familiarity with such systems is not required, but greatly preferred. Additional roles include entering medical information into our electronic medical record system. There are various operations roles including maintaining medical and office supplies as well as facility management functions such as office cleaning. Additional responsibilities involve bookkeeping and clerical roles, including paying bills, making bank deposits, and managing data in our practice management and electronic medical records systems. There are various operations roles including maintaining relationships with vendors and professional organizations, managing inventory of medical and office supplies as well as facility management functions such as maintaining office equipment and handling IT/web-based services. He or she will also be responsible for revision and compliance with clinic policies such as HIPAA.

Due to the demands of the position, previous experience in the medical field is preferred, though not required. The position will initially be part time and require work schedule flexibility, beginning with a regular schedule of approximately 16 hours total per week divided 4 hours per day between 4 days but could increase up to 32 hours total per week divided between 4 days.

The initial hourly rate is negotiable fro $18-22/ hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Our clinic hours are Monday - Thursday, 9AM-5PM. Our office is closed on Fridays and weekends.
