Full Job Description

IMPORTANT: We are located in the community of Avimor on HWY 55, just 10 minutes north of HWY 44/State St. Please make sure you're comfortable with this commute before applying.

Gather Brewing Company in Eagle, Idaho is looking for a Kitchen Operator to take ownership of our day-to-day kitchen operations. We’re a true scratch kitchen, including baked goods made in-house, and we need someone who can lead the team, stay ahead of prep, maintain standards, and keep the kitchen organized and running smoothly through busy service.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We already have an established menu and recipes. We’re not primarily looking for someone to come in and reinvent the menu, we need someone who can run the kitchen well, consistently, and independently.

Responsibilities include leading, training, and scheduling kitchen staff; planning prep and maintaining pars; managing ordering, inventory, food cost, and waste; ensuring the kitchen is properly stocked for service; maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards; holding the team accountable to recipes, portions, quality, and procedures; and actively leading the line during high-volume periods.

A strong Kitchen Operator notices problems before they become emergencies, and be able to think ahead and plan for the future and growth. You should know what we’re running low on, what prep is behind, what needs to be cleaned, where labor is being wasted, and what needs to happen today to set tomorrow’s shift up for success.

Requirements: Proven experience leading a kitchen team, strong organizational and communication skills, reliable and accountable, comfortable managing food cost and labor, able to work calmly under pressure, and willing to be hands-on wherever the kitchen needs you.

We’re looking for someone who takes real ownership of their department. Success in this role means the kitchen runs well without ownership having to manage it for you.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
