Duties for DSP

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and nutrition.
Support behavioral health and behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and emotional well-being.
Facilitate communication using various methods, including American Sign Language (ASL), verbal cues, or alternative communication devices.
Provide transportation and driving support for appointments, outings, or community activities.
Collect data on individual progress, behaviors, and needs to inform care plans and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate medication records.
Engage in home and community care activities to foster social skills, independence, and community integration.
Collaborate with team members, families, and service providers to develop personalized care plans that reflect each individual’s goals.

Requirements for DSP

Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred but not required.
Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
Valid driver’s license for transportation duties.
Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in a compassionate manner.
Experience in behavioral health or behavioral support services is advantageous.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and data collection procedures.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held.
Ability to pass a standard background check.

Duties and Responsibilities for CSE

Provided support to employees with disabilities, helping them understand tasks, and promoting independence.
Teaching appropriate workplace behaviors, social skills, and etiquette to ensure successful integration with co-workers.
Encouraging relationships with co-workers and supervisors so the employee relies on coworkers rather than just the coach.
Establish a relationship with employers and participants. Become familiar with pertinent information on each individual.
Provide proper, safe, and skill-appropriate instruction.
Support and follow the direction of vocational services
Provide leadership, model learning skills, and give feedback as needed.
Assume responsibilities for client when designated to do so.
Problem-solve and make programmatic suggestions when appropriate.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 48.0 per week
