Floor Manager

Booneshine Brewing Company

Boone, NC · Full-Time · In Person · $19–$25/hr

WHO WE ARE

Booneshine Brewing Company is a craft brewery and taproom rooted in the High Country. We make beer we’re proud of and create a space where guests feel genuinely welcome — not just served. We’re growing, and we want people who care about both.

THE ROLE

As a Floor Manager at Booneshine, you’re the engine behind daily service. Some days you’re opening the taproom, setting an 8–10 person crew up for success before the first guest walks in. Other days you’re carrying that same standard through a full afternoon and into a packed dinner rush across the tasting room and beer garden. The shift changes — the standard doesn’t.

This is a hands-on floor role. You lead by being present. You hold the environment, develop the team, and make sure every shift runs clean from open to handoff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Every shift

Own the floor across the tasting room and beer garden — guest experience, team energy, and service flow from start to finish
Coach and manage a team of 8–10 FOH staff per shift, holding the standard throughout service
Keep communication tight between hosts, servers, expo, and bartenders
Handle guest feedback with confidence and care
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance across all service areas
Write clear end-of-shift notes and hand off cleanly to the next manager

On opening shifts

Place daily orders and update menus and tap sheets before service
Run the bank and grocery run to set the day up right
Write pre-service notes that brief the team and set the tone
Get the space ready — music, lighting, coffee, crew assignments — before doors open

On MID and volume shifts

Fill gaps during the dinner rush and keep service tight across both the tasting room and beer garden
Wind down service areas cleanly and hand off to the closing shift lead.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

18-24 months of restaurant experience in a full-service, high-volume environment
Proven ability to lead and develop a team of 8–10 staff through a fast-moving shift
A natural leader who stays calm under pressure and brings the team up with them
Highly organized — you think ahead, prep well, and leave nothing undone at handoff
Strong communicator across a multi-area floor operation
Comfortable with ordering systems, basic reporting, and inventory tools
Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends — opening shifts and high-volume days are a regular part of this role
Genuine interest in craft beer and the guest experience
