Full Job Description

About Us:
We are a leading manufacturer of precision orthopedic instruments and medical devices, proudly serving the medical industry for over 50 years. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setup & Operator to support our CNC Mill department.

Basic Function:

Under the direction of the CNC Mill Supervisor, the CNC Milling Setup & Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and inspection of precision components using 4- and 5-axis CNC machines. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform production of precision parts using conventional CNC milling machines.
Set up and operate 4- and 5-axis CNC machines independently.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications.
Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet all dimensional and quality requirements.
Complete detailed in-process inspection reports and communicate results to supervisors and QC.
Maintain and replace tooling as needed to ensure consistent quality and performance.
Support and guide junior machinists when required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Participate in company 6S/Lean initiatives and recommend process improvements.
Perform additional tasks and assist with validation or Gage R&R studies as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of CNC milling setup and operation experience (medical device or aerospace industry preferred).
Proficient in setting up and operating 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
Strong knowledge of G-code and Fanuc controls.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, height gages, comparators, thread gages, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485 / ISO 9001 standards is a plus.
Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
