BDC Manager – Hands-On Leadership Role at Marketplace Chevy

Job Description:

Marketplace Chevy, a well-established and respected dealership, is looking for a driven and passionate BDC Manager to lead our Business Development Center. This is a hands-on role where you will manage the team while also actively handling inbound and outbound calls, leads, and follow-ups to drive sales and ensure excellent customer service.

Sales BDC Manager — Marketplace Chevrolet

Marketplace Chevrolet is seeking a polished, results-driven Sales BDC Manager to lead our Business Development Center and elevate every customer interaction from first inquiry to showroom appointment.

This position is ideal for an automotive professional who brings accountability, strong communication skills, disciplined process management, and a customer-first mindset. The Sales BDC Manager will set the standard for professionalism across phone, text, email, chat, and digital lead follow-up.

What You’ll Do

Lead, coach, and hold the Sales BDC team accountable to daily activity, response-time, appointment, and show-rate goals.
Ensure every customer receives prompt, courteous, accurate, and professional communication.
Build and maintain effective follow-up processes for internet leads, inbound calls, unsold showroom traffic, equity opportunities, and orphan-owner campaigns.
Monitor CRM activity, lead quality, task completion, and communication standards to ensure no opportunity is missed.
Partner closely with sales management and the sales team to improve appointment confirmation, handoff quality, and sold results.
Review performance reports, identify trends, and implement practical action plans to improve conversion.
Hire, train, develop, and retain BDC representatives who represent Marketplace Chevrolet with integrity and professionalism.
Maintain a clean, organized, positive work environment focused on teamwork, urgency, and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

Prior automotive BDC, internet-sales, call-center, or sales-management experience preferred.
Proven ability to coach people, manage performance, and drive measurable results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional phone presence.
Strong CRM discipline and confidence working with lead-management reports and KPIs.
Ability to handle customer concerns calmly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
Reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and accountable.
A positive leader who takes ownership, follows through, and sets the example for the team.
