Full Job Description

A North Carolina-based Biotech company is seeking a reliable courier to pick up (non-hazardous) DNA samples from various science, research, and lab buildings across major Boston-area campuses (such as MIT, Harvard, Boston University, and Northeastern).

We are looking for someone available Monday through Friday. Must be highly reliable with exceptional time-management skills and a strong familiarity with navigating Boston’s campus layouts, one-way streets, and parking logistics. Students, graduate students, or researchers attending or working at a local Boston institution who have a registered vehicle, an active campus parking permit, or are highly adept at local transit/scooter commuting are highly preferred.

Job Details:

Duties: Picking up secure, non-hazardous samples from designated campus lab drop-boxes, packaging, and dropping them off at a FedEx ship facility.
Time Commitment: Approximately 3 hours per day, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: Flat $90 per day (Calculated based on 3 hours of work, paid in full regardless of whether your daily route takes more or less time to complete). Note: There is no additional gas or mileage compensation for this role; transit costs have been factored directly into the $90 flat daily rate.
Flexibility: This is an independent position with potential for growth within our expanding company.

Requirements:

Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
Must know your way around Boston-area science/academic buildings.
Must have a reliable way to quickly get between local campuses (car with registered permit).
Consistent weekday afternoon availability between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Pay: $90.00 per day

Work Location: Remote
