Dispatcher

Vivo Transport – Meals on Wheels Program

Vivo Transport is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support our Meals on Wheels operations. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating daily meal deliveries, communicating with drivers, and ensuring routes are completed efficiently and on schedule. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to providing exceptional service to the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor daily delivery routes.
Provide coverage for delivery routes and fill in for drivers at any of our Meals on Wheels site locations to ensure uninterrupted service on a weekly basis.
Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding route changes, delays, and client concerns.
Track route completion and address service issues in real time.
Assist with route planning and route optimization.
Maintain accurate delivery records and operational reports.
Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, site managers, and clients when needed.
Respond promptly to delivery issues and develop solutions to maintain service levels.
Support daily operational planning and scheduling.
Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Proficiency with computers, email, spreadsheets, and routing software.
Experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, customer service, or operations is preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.
