Full Job Description

Research Associate , One Year Contract

Immuno-Oncology, Immunology, & Inflammation Group (III)

About Us:

Pinetree Therapeutics is a rapidly growing biotechnology company developing next-generation biologics and bispecific antibodies in oncology and immune modulation. With multiple IND-enabling programs advancing toward the clinic, we are building a highly collaborative, science-driven environment focused on translating novel discovery concepts into transformative therapies for patients.

Role Summary

We are seeking an RAI to provide hands-on bench support to the Immuno-Oncology, Immunology & Inflammation Group, focused on primary immune cell culture, functional immune assay execution, and bioanalytical readouts supporting company-wide programs. The candidate will work closely with existing team members to expand the group's capacity for immune cell-based and analytical assay development.

This is a one year temporary position, that may be converted to FTE.

Key Responsibilities

Routine maintenance of primary human and mouse cell cultures, including PBMCs, splenocytes, and cell lines
Collection, culture, and functional use of primary human and mouse immune and non-immune cells and tissues
Execute on cell line and primary cell based assays include MLR, ADCC, reporter cell line
Management of group biological reagent inventory: Cell lines, recombinant proteins, antibodies, and cytokine stocks
Development and execution of bespoke bioanalytical assays (e.g. PK & ADA) for drug, target, and pharmacodynamic measurements
qPCR-based gene expression workflows

Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field; co-op/intern candidates currently enrolled in a relevant degree program will be considered
Hands-on aseptic technique, cell, and tissue culture (academic or industry) required
Proficiency in fundamentals of immune-based assay e.g. ELISA, MSD, etc.required
Experience with primary (human or rodent) immune cell isolation strongly preferred
Experience with flow cytometry a strong plus
Familiarity with PCR and gene expression analysis a plus
Familiarity with bioanalytical assay development workflows a plus
Requires strong organizational habits and comfort managing shared reagent inventories
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, fast-moving team
