Job Title: 02 Residential Electrical Journeyman
Reports to: Foreman
Hours: 40 hrs./week + overtime as needed
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay: Hourly
Wage: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour DOE
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of an 02 Residential Journeyman Electrician is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electrical systems in residential dwellings in accordance with Washington State electrical codes and company standards. This position performs electrical work on new construction, mixed- use, multi-family building in King and Snohomish counties.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Current Washington State electrical 02 Residential Journeyman, 01 Commercial Journeyman, or Master Electrician license
- OSHA 10 and 30 (preferred)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Dependable transportation to get to and from the job site(s)
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen, 7-year background check, and reference check if an offer is extended
- High level of fluency in written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
- Maintain electrical journeyman card to meet Washington State regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes and follow strict safety regulations and protocols.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems in compliance with Washington State electrical code and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Proficiency in assembling, installing, testing, repairing, replacing and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels, breakers, and other electrical components.
- Install branch circuits, feeders, grounding systems, and electrical devices.
- Read and interpret residential blueprints, electrical plans, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Install and secure electrical boxes, conduit, cable assemblies, raceways, and wiring using approved methods and materials.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Verify completed installations meet applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Communicate professionally with general contractors, project managers, inspectors, coworkers, and employees from other trades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and any field changes.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues to find the source of a reported problem and identify repair options
- Be knowledgeable in a variety of electrical wiring systems and can identify and solve complex wiring problems.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Be able to follow specific emergency plans and respond accordingly if required.
- Mentor, train, and supervise electrical apprentices while ensuring compliance with Washington State apprenticeship regulations.
- Work mandatory overtime when needed.

Performance Standards:
The person in this position will be evaluated annually based on employee’s (last) hire date.
