Full Job Description

Hello Applicants!

We’re excited to announce a new opportunity for a senior role with Kaspars Catering & Events as an Event Planner.

We are growing and looking to bring on great team members to be a part of our hard-working crew! We are interviewing for enthusiastic, self-motivated, customer service driven team members. Our 'home base' is in Magnolia and we specialize in off-premise catering at venues, businesses and homes across the Seattle area. We offer a supportive atmosphere with a full-time team of around 20 staff members including chefs, event planners, sales and operation managers. We pride ourselves in high-quality, fresh, local, made-from-scratch cuisine. This position takes patience, attention to detail, great customer service and the ability to lead as well as be a part of a team.

This is not an entry- level position. Ideally candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years planning events. Off-premise catering experience is preferred but not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client contact for event planning & payments.
Reserve rentals and plan décor as needed.
Ensure all billing is accurate and thank yous are sent out in a timely manner.
Contribute to weekly banquet meetings and ensure event sheets are completed in a timely fashion, ready to share with other departments.
Know our software – used for proposals, invoicing and menu procedures
Assist with coverage in all departments
Event contact/supervision for events (for VIP clients, detailed events, and weddings)
Assist in follow up for outstanding invoices

Compensation depends on experience and includes, a competitive wage, parking, meals, a simple IRA, health plan, dental plan, tuition reimbursement and performance-based bonuses.
