Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of warehousing, including Inbound and Outbound, production and assembly, Safety, and Maintenance. This person will ensure the company delivers operational excellence by meeting performance goals, productivity expectations, accuracy, and Sales/Customer Support throughout the organization. This position will provide and oversee strategic alignment between all warehouse departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

GENERAL

Responsible for exceeding both internal and external customer expectations daily
Maintains accurate records in the ERP System
Establish and maintain effective work relationships within departments, and throughout the company
Communicate and write effectively; read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions from customers and IBT team
Must be able to fill in for General Manager when not available
Write and establish procedures to eliminate waste, improve efficiency and accuracy
Develop and oversee safety programs including, Safety Committee meetings
Must be able to work at the Sales Counter and be part of the weekend rotation
Has a lean manufacturing school of thought; looking for ways to eliminate waste throughout the operation
Ensure the smooth flow of information and process cross-functionally
Responsible for security, key control, alarm codes, and safety
Assist in the hiring process and make recommendations on staffing
Responsible for basic building maintenance
This is not a desk job. This is a roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty position.

WAREHOUSING

Directly supervise the Warehouse Managers and related
Responsible for ensuring service levels are met with a sense of urgency and a high level of accuracy
Ensure accuracy of all functions including inventory, parts, and customer transactions
Responsible for on-time and accurate shipments for both small parcels, freight, and deliveries
Responsible for inventory accuracy and organization
Coordinate inbound and outbound trucks
Responsible for receiving inventory in a timely and highly accurate manner
Responsible for a clean and organized warehouse
Responsible for clean, well-maintained delivery trucks

PRODUCTION AND ASSEMBLY

Directly supervises the Production Supervisor and related
Responsible for ensuring service levels are met with a sense of urgency and a high level of accuracy
Ensure axles are built on time and quality standards are met
Ensure other assembled/produced items are in stock and ready for delivery
Responsible for the safe tire and tire and wheel dismounts/mounts
Responsible for miscellaneous production/assembly: U-bolt bending, spring bushings, Nev’R Lube bearings, drum turning

Position Requirements:

At least 7 years of management experience in warehousing, distribution, inventory, and parts sales.
Requires at least 5 years of supervisory experience in the automotive, recreational vehicle, or trailer industry.
Requires bachelor’s degree in a related field
Must be mechanically inclined
Must have a strong customer service background, and be customer-orientated and focused
Strives to eliminate waste by finding more efficient ways to serve our customers’ needs
Experienced team leader with proven problem-solving experience
Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner
Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills
Outstanding computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair issues with standard office equipment
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) at an intermediate level or above
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Adaptability and flexibility of schedule to provide exceptional service to all customers

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
Must be able to lift up to 100bs

Work Environment:

Usual office, warehouse, manufacturing, and repair shop conditions will exist such as dust, lighting, noise, and temperature fluctuations
This position requires 55 hours per week with rotating Saturdays (TBD)

Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Position responsibilities are subject to change. This is a new position. Must be flexible and willing to adapt to additional/changing responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
