Job Title: Estimator

Overview:
Cillessen Construction Company, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimatorto join our team. We specialize in residential and commercial construction, with a focus on large projects and insurance restoration. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to grow with a company that values teamwork, trust, and personal connections to its projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed cost estimates for a range of construction projects, including residential construction and insurance restoration work.

· Collaborate with project managers, insurance adjusters, and clients to ensure estimates are accurate and meet project requirements.

· Utilize tools like Stack, Buildertrend, and Xactimate to create, manage, and track estimates effectively.

· Conduct site visits to evaluate project scope, document conditions, and assess factors impacting costs for large-scale residential and commercial projects.

· Analyze and interpret insurance scopes of work, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring proper coverage for all necessary repairs.

· Negotiate with insurance adjusters, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and ensure high-quality project outcomes.

· Monitor budgets and project costs throughout the lifecycle, proactively addressing discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.

· Assist with project management tasks, including tracking progress, coordinating schedules, and ensuring adherence to the approved scope of work.

· Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, insurance documents, and project correspondence to support smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong focus on residential construction and insurance restoration projects.

· Familiarity with large-scale project management

· Proficiency in estimating software, including Stack, Buildertrend, and Xactimate (or willingness to learn).

· Comprehensive understanding of insurance claims processes, scope writing, and supplementing claims.

· Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes with adjusters, suppliers, and subcontractors.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

· Excellent analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex cost data and recommending adjustments.

· Knowledge of construction site operations, restoration processes, and safety protocols.

· A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
