Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service. Your leadership will inspire our kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage food production, and elevate our restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet high standards of quality and presentation.
Lead and manage kitchen staff during shifts, fostering teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.
Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring proper stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Implement and uphold food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with nutritional guidelines.
Manage catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely preparation and flawless execution.
Support menu planning by contributing creative ideas and ensuring consistency in food production for all service outlets.

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a strong background in food production and culinary techniques.
Supervising experience with a track record of managing teams effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Extensive banquet, catering, and restaurant experience, demonstrating versatility across various service styles.
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory control, and cost management within the food industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff, oversee shift management, and ensure high standards of food handling and service.
Familiarity with food service management systems, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
