Job Summary:

Heritage Grill Line Cooks are the backbone of our culinary operation, directly responsible for the precision, quality, and timely execution of all menu items. This role demands world-class customer service through the craft of exceptional food preparation. Line Cooks are intimately involved in every stage of food production, from meticulous prep work to the final plating, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of sanitation, food handling, and ingredient rotation. They maintain optimal par levels, cook and serve every order perfectly, and consistently deliver fresh, hot, and impeccably made products within a 15-minute service window, strictly following established build card specifications.

Shift Availability:

Morning Shift: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 9:00pm PM

Compensation:

Pay Range: Starts at $12.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and demonstrated skill level.

Desired Qualifications:

Proven experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure during peak hours.
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A strong passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to producing high-quality food.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Culinary Execution & Quality Control:

Serve as the primary executor of all menu orders, translating raw ingredients into finished dishes with precision and speed.
Adhere strictly to all build card specifications, ensuring consistent portioning, presentation, and ingredient usage for every dish.
Cook all items to order, striving for the fastest possible execution without compromising quality.
Guarantee proper doneness and seasoning for each and every order, maintaining the restaurant's reputation for exceptional flavor.
Continuously monitor and manage food quality throughout the shift, addressing any discrepancies immediately.

Operational Efficiency & Organization:

Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Efficiently utilize the Kitchen POS system for order management, cooking tickets in sequence and promptly deleting them upon completion.
Maintain a highly organized and clean workstation at all times, facilitating smooth and efficient workflows.
Collaborate seamlessly with other kitchen team members, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
Address and rectify any mistakes quickly and efficiently, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Food Safety & Sanitation:

Uphold the highest standards of sanitation and safe food handling practices to prevent foodborne illnesses.
Ensure proper cooling and reheating temperatures for all food products, adhering to established food safety guidelines.
Conduct regular temperature logs for all station food, meticulously recording data as required.
Participate actively in the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and line operations, following checklists provided by the Chef and Managers.
Execute thorough closing and sanitization procedures for the entire line area at the end of each shift, ensuring a pristine environment for the next day.

Inventory & Preparation:

Maintain accurate par levels of all food ingredients, communicating any shortages or discrepancies to management.
Execute all assigned prep tasks efficiently and according to recipes, ensuring the line is consistently stocked for service.
Practice proper food rotation techniques to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
