Full Job Description

Pay Rate

$15.00 to $17.50 per hour plus tips!

All staff are part of a total tip pool that is split evenly each week. Last year this averaged from $7 to $15 dollars extra hourly.

Job Overview
We seek a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will be crucial in delivering quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards and delight our guests.

If you don't have any experience but are good at attention to detail and like working in a fast paced environment. We are willing to train anyone who shows interest and a good work ethic.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in catering events as required, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of food items.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food industry setting.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
Must know standard closing practices.
