Full Job Description

Heritage Oaks Golf & Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable, and accounts receivable, assisting with Member billing, and supporting the Controller with daily accounting functions. If you enjoy working in a professional, Member-focused environment and have a strong accounting background, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: $22.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities Include -

Accounts Receivable:

Process Member payments.
Prepare daily cash deposits.
Process reciprocal charges, association dues, special event charges, late fees, and other Member transactions.
Prepare late notices and maintain delinquent account spreadsheets.
Assist with monthly Member billing.

Accounts Payable:

Audit and process vendor invoices for payment after approval.
Prepare checks from Operating, Reserve, and Resale accounts.
Maintain fixed asset records.
Process annual 1099 forms.
Maintain vendor files.

Accounting & Administrative Support:

Close daily sales journals.
Assist Members with billing disputes and inquiries.
Assist with month-end closing procedures.
Manage the petty cash fund.
Assist with the annual financial audit.
Renew business licenses as required.
Prepare accounting reports as requested by the Controller.
Provide support to the Controller and Human Resources as needed.
Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance Member experience.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller or General Manager.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

QualificationsRequired

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Experience with Accounts payable & Accounts receivable
General ledger
Financial reporting
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to provide professional, friendly service to Members in person, by phone, and by email.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work efficiently in a moderately noisy office environment and manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
