Company Overview

Join our team at Promo Advertising, a dynamic and growing custom apparel decoration shop specializing in screen printing, Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing, and embroidery. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality custom garments and exceptional customer service.

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to fill the role of Art Designer & Customer Service Specialist. This position requires a strong creative background in graphic design for apparel decoration, coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills to manage customer orders and inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in industry-standard design software, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Graphic Design & Production Art (Approx. 60% of time)

Create and prepare artwork for all three decoration methods: screen printing (spot color, simulated process), DTF transfers, and embroidery.
Vectorize and clean up customer-provided artwork to ensure it meets production standards.
Color separation for screen printing jobs.
Proofing: Generate and manage digital mock-ups and proofs for customer approval, ensuring accuracy of size, placement, and color.
File Management: Maintain an organized digital archive of all client artwork, production files, and mock-ups.
Quality Control: Collaborate with the production team to ensure the final product accurately reflects the approved design.

2. Customer Service & Order Management (Approx. 40% of time)

Customer Consultation: Greet and interact with customers (in-person, phone, and email) to discuss design needs, order specifications, and decoration options.
Order Taking: Accurately document all order details, including garment selection, quantities, sizes, decoration placement, ink/thread colors, and deadlines.
Communication: Clearly communicate design options, pricing, production timelines, and address any customer concerns or revisions.
Quoting: Assist in generating accurate price quotes for custom orders.
Sales Support: Act as the creative point of contact to guide customers through the ordering process, ensuring a positive experience from concept to completion.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Proven skills in graphic design, specifically for the screen printing and/or apparel decoration industry.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop is mandatory.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of resolution, color modes, vector vs. raster graphics, and the specific design requirements for screen printing color separation and embroidery digitizing principles (actual digitizing skills are a plus, but not required).
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical design concepts to non-technical customers.
Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail in design execution and order entry.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with embroidery software or understanding of digitizing principles.
Familiarity with order management software (e.g., T-Quoter, Printavo).
A portfolio demonstrating relevant apparel design and production-ready art.
