Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen at our new location in Howell MI! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and hospitality management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage food preparation and service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Training will take place at our location in Holly, MIchigan in the lead up to our grand opening this summer!

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling food costs.
Develop training programs for staff to enhance their skills in food preparation and service.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for food preparation and presentation.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reporting of daily sales.
Utilize Toast POS system for order management and tracking sales performance.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication, and professional growth.

Requirements

Proven experience in the food service industry, with a focus on kitchen management or hospitality management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food management practices.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers.
