Full Job Description

Description: About King University Founded in 1867, King University is a comprehensive Christian university located in Bristol, Tennessee. King is dedicated to providing students with a rich and rigorous academic experience that integrates faith, learning, and service in a close-knit, student-centered community. The Enrollment Counselor position is responsible for recruiting prospective students to King University by building authentic connections, guiding applicants through the admissions process, and serving as a key ambassador for the university. This role involves representing King at schools, community events, and online platforms while supporting applicants and their families in making informed decisions about their educational future.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. • Previous experience in college admissions, recruitment, sales, or customer service preferred. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to large and small groups. • Friendly, goal-oriented, and adaptable, with a passion for helping students. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel evenings and some overnight required.

Responsibilities: • Meets or exceeds annual enrollment goals established by university leadership. • Represents King University at high schools, private schools, two and four-year institutions, college and career fairs, churches, community and civic organizations, and campus events. • Builds meaningful relationships with prospective students and families through email, phone, text, video calls, and in-person meetings. • Conducts outreach within an assigned territory, including travel for recruitment events. • Coordinates and participates in on-campus visits, group tours, and orientation events as assigned by the Campus Visit Coordinator. • Maintains strong knowledge of King University’s academic programs, student support services, financial aid options, and campus life. • Collaborates with faculty, staff, alumni, and current students to support recruitment efforts and foster connection. • Distributes up-to-date materials and information to relevant partners. • Tracks outreach activity and evaluates engagement strategies for continuous improvement.
