Installation/Maintenance Job Duties

Job Title: Field Installer – Grain Equipment
Job Type: Full-time, Travel Required

Report to: Installation Manager
Location: Midwest (Travel Across Region)

IntelliFarms Northern Division (IFND) is a leader in providing advanced grain management solutions, specializing in equipment installation, monitoring systems, and automation for grain storage. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Installer to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for traveling across the Midwest to perform field installations of grain equipment at customer sites.

Responsibilities

Install grain management equipment including grain bins, monitoring systems, conveyors, and other grain handling equipment.
Travel to customer sites across the Midwest to perform on-site installations, ensuring systems are set up properly and safely, making daily site calls.
Collaborate with the sales and support teams to understand project requirements, ensuring installations meet customer needs and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process to ensure a smooth and efficient setup.
Ensure all equipment is installed to manufacturer and safety standards while adhering to company procedures and guidelines.
Provide training and support to customers on how to operate installed systems.
Document all installations, including system settings, product specifications, and any customer requests or concerns. Receiving, competing, and turning in appropriate install and/or maintenance records in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment (shop area/work vehicles) and ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site.
Communicate regularly with the Installation Manager to report on progress, schedules, and potential delays.
Work closely with the customer support team to ensure that all post-installation issues are addressed and resolved quickly.
Maintain equipment and tools used for installation, ensuring everything is in good working order for each job (inventory counting when applicable).

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in field installation of agricultural or industrial equipment (preferred but not required).
Comfortable with travel, working on-site in different locations across the Midwest.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex installation issues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical systems to customers in a clear and understandable way.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient installations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
Physical ability to work on-site, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
