Full Job Description

Dynamic Youth Community, Inc. (DYC) is looking to fill Certified Recovery Peer Advocate positions for their outpatient facility in Brooklyn, New York.

FUNCTION: The individual who fills this position will provide peer support to DYC outpatient clients, encourage them to adhere to program policies and procedures. Their duties are essentially to supplement the support in a non-clinical manner to clients who attend the outpatient program. The individual shall be able to reach out to various communities in Brooklyn and offer service to those in need and education about services available to the general public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as required.

Ensuring that patients are in compliance with the Program Policy and Procedure
Assist with outreach calls to current and prospective clients.
Assist with the coordination of community relationships.
Provide peer support services and outreach based on clinical need as identified in the client’s treatment plan.
Help to ensure participant directed care by assisting the individual to build the specific skills and relationships he or she needs in order to achieve and maintain recovery by mentoring, monitoring.
Provide peer support and guidance when clients are in the disciplinary stages due to noncompliance with program policies and procedures.
Assist in coordination of appointments and recommendations for self-help.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Certified Peer Recovery Advocate or CRPA-P

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be a Certified Peer Recovery Advocate or CRPA-P

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
