Tribeca Preparatory is a 12-month behavior-based program dedicated to neurodiverse children ages 4-12 years old. Our school specializes in providing students with individualized academic and behavioral supports while teaching students to be a part of a group and foster friendships. We are a multidisciplinary setting that offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and counseling for children with a variety of diagnoses. Tribeca Preparatory is hiring a FULL-TIME New York Certified Special Education Teacher with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis for the 2024-25 school year.

Candidates who are certified teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA) are qualified for a higher starting salary.

****BCBA supervision and LBA supervision are also available****

Job Description:

Administer academic and behavior analytic assessments (ABBLS, VB-MAPP, reading assessments, curricula assessments)
Develop academic plans and goals based on assessment data
Monitor and analyze each student's progress in the areas of communication, academics, behavior and social skills
Supervise classroom 1:1 and 2:1 instructors to ensure that instruction is consistent across instructors
Collaborate with related service providers
Collaborate with parents, home base providers, and the multidisciplinary team
Provide 1:1 support for students
Deliver best practice and effective instruction

Qualifications:

MA in Special Education or a related field with ABA experience (2 years preferred)
NYS Certification in Grades 1-6 or Birth-Grade 2 Students with Disabilities
