Full Job Description

Bushwick Veterinary Center is dedicated to creating a culture that prioritizes our team members' mental health and provides a happy environment full of growth and development. We are looking for a Kennel Attendant / Veterinary Assistant to join our operation team.

Workspace:

Acknowledging the importance of a positive working culture is one of our hospital values. We are a paperless and cloud-based practice management solution work environment.
We focus on reducing the daily tasks and giving more time for client-facing and creative assignments.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the care and feeding of boarding animals, general cleaning, and assisting doctors and technicians with medical procedures.
The ideal candidate is proactive, and empathetic, and will enjoy providing excellent care to both our clients and patients.
A typical workday will include walking, cleaning, and feeding boarding dogs.
Getting to know them, playing with them, and giving them lots of love.
Assisting doctors and veterinary technicians as needed with medical services.
This includes learning and providing safe and proper restraints for injections, blood draws, radiographs, ultrasounds, catheter placement, and surgical prep.
General cleanings such as sweeping, mopping, and laundry.
Expect a busy, but fun and satisfying work environment.
