Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lead Line cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef and Management team in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the quality of food preparation, and maintaining a smooth workflow.

Duties
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create new menus
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies when necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Oversee catering events and maintain high standards of service

Skills
- Strong culinary skills with experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Proficient in inventory control and management
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques

Qualifications

-Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

-Must be comfortable commuting to this job's location

-High School Diploma or equivalent required.

-3-5 years of experience cooking in a restaurant

-Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills

-Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail

-Ability to read and follow cooking directions

-Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment

-Must be organized and self-motivated

-Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials

▪ Provide a CA Food Handlers card within 30 days of employment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.35 - $24.58 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
