General Sales Manager – Confidential Automotive Dealership

Spring Hill / Brooksville / Tampa Bay Area

A well-established automotive dealership in the Spring Hill/Brooksville/Tampa Bay area is conducting a confidential search for an experienced General Sales Manager to lead our variable operations.

We are seeking a proven automotive retail leader with a strong track record of building successful sales teams, increasing volume and profitability, and maintaining a customer-focused culture. Current or previous General Sales Manager experience in a franchised automotive dealership is REQUIRED.

This is not a first-time GSM opportunity. Candidates must have prior General Sales Manager experience to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations
Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
Establish and manage monthly sales, gross profit, and performance objectives
Desk deals effectively while maximizing profitability and maintaining customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, aging, pricing, and merchandising
Work closely with the General Manager, Finance Department, and other dealership leadership
Monitor lead management, CRM activity, appointment performance, and closing ratios
Maintain accountability for sales processes and individual team performance
Develop strategies to increase market share, sales volume, gross profit, and customer retention
Ensure compliance with dealership policies and applicable regulations

Qualifications

Previous General Sales Manager experience in a franchised automotive dealership REQUIRED
Proven track record of achieving sales volume and profitability goals
Demonstrated success leading and developing automotive sales teams
Strong desking, closing, and deal-structuring skills
Thorough understanding of new and pre-owned vehicle operations
Strong knowledge of dealership CRM and inventory management processes
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to recruit, motivate, coach, and hold a sales team accountable
Results-driven with a strong understanding of dealership financial performance
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
