Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MiTek Truss Design Manager to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise and innovative truss designs, utilizing MiTek Structure software, and collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams. This role requires a strong background in truss design for residential and commercial properties. Truss Design Manager will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity, cost basis, and aesthetic appeal of our designs while adhering to industry standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed truss designs using MiTek Structure and Management
Oversee a design staff. Check work and make sure it is up to standards before submitting quotes and seals.
Schedule workloads for design team to meet production timelines
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to optimize structural systems for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Review project specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards and building codes.
Meet with clients on a as needed basis.
Handle problems with field repairs.
Stay current with emerging trends in CAD technology, structural engineering practices, and innovative design techniques.

Qualifications

3+ years experience as a truss designer
Proven experience as a senior truss designer within the component industry.
Management experience leading other designers.
Ability to be able to complete projects on time.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD Revit.
Strong understanding of schematics, system design principles, mechanical design, interior design concepts, and graphic visualization.
Knowledge of construction processes and building codes relevant to structural wood truss systems.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
