Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Part-time Bookkeeper and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records for our organization. You will be responsible for managing various financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Duties

Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions using QuickBooks Online.
Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy with debits and credits in accordance with GAAP
Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to verify financial data integrity
Manage payroll processing, including tax filings and compliance with governmental regulations
Maintain the general ledger by performing account analysis and general ledger accounting tasks
Generate detailed financial reports and assist in budgeting processes to support organizational planning
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and governmental regulations related to nonprofit or corporate accounting

Requirements

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in an accounting and finance role, with familiarity in double-entry bookkeeping practices
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including account reconciliation, journal entries, debits & credits, and bank reconciliation
Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management
Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong spreadsheet skills using Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting
Excellent communication skills to write clear financial reports and document processes effectively
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting /Finance or equivalent experience
