Group Sales ManagerLocation: The Westin Westminster, Westminster, CO
Schedule: Full-time | Primarily weekday schedule with occasional weekends based on business needs

About the Role
The Westin Westminster is seeking an energetic and results-driven Group Sales Manager to join our Sales and Catering team. This position is responsible for generating new group business, maintaining existing client relationships, and achieving revenue goals through proactive sales efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong background in hospitality sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both corporate and social group business in a dynamic, full-service hotel environment.

As a key member of our Sales Department, the Group Sales Manager will work closely with our Director of Sales, Catering Sales team, and Revenue Management to ensure the success of meetings, conventions, and special events.

Responsibilities

· Solicit, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat group business (corporate, SMERF, association, government, etc.) to meet and exceed revenue goals

· Develop and maintain strong client relationships through site visits, sales calls, and ongoing communication

· Prepare and present group proposals, contracts, and personalized presentations to prospective clients

· Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Revenue Management on pricing, forecasting, and rate strategy

· Work with the Catering and Convention Services teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction

· Maintain accurate sales activity records in Marriott’s sales systems and property CRM tools

· Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities as assigned

· Participate in weekly sales meetings, revenue meetings, and other departmental functions

· Provide post-event follow-up to evaluate success and encourage repeat business

· Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitor performance, and local demand generators

Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of hotel group sales experience required; Marriott or full-service hotel experience preferred

· Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals

· Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

· Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hotel sales systems (CI/TY, Opera, or similar)

· Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering exceptional guest service

· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
