Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support medical staff, and ensure the well-being of patients in various settings. This role requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient advocacy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties

Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health status and medical histories.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
Assist with procedures such as suturing, ventilating, ostomy care, and botulinum toxin treatment as required.
Participate in travel nursing assignments as needed to meet staffing demands.
Deliver specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including home care services and durable medical equipment (DME) management.

Skills

Proficient in maintaining medical records accurately and efficiently.
Strong skills in patient care with a focus on empathy and communication.
Experience with suture techniques and wound care management.
Knowledge of ventilatory support techniques for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
Familiarity with ostomy care practices for post-operative patients.
Ability to administer botulinum toxin treatments safely and effectively.
Experience in travel nursing is a plus but not mandatory.
Understanding of dementia care principles to provide appropriate support for affected individuals.
Competence in managing DME needs for patients transitioning from hospital to home care settings.
