Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable and service-oriented Hotel Front Desk Agent to create a welcoming experience for every guest.

This position handles guest check-ins and checkouts, reservations, payments, telephone calls, guest questions and service requests. The successful candidate will communicate professionally, maintain accurate guest information and work closely with housekeeping, maintenance and hotel leadership to support smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with friendly, attentive and professional service.
Complete guest check-ins, checkouts, room assignments and reservation changes accurately.
Process cash, credit-card and other payments according to hotel procedures.
Answer telephone calls and respond promptly to guest questions and requests.
Provide accurate information about hotel services, amenities and the College Station area.
Make, modify and cancel reservations using the hotel’s reservation and property-management systems.
Maintain accurate guest accounts, payment information, room charges and supporting documentation.
Assist with Wyndham Rewards enrollments and explain applicable membership benefits.
Respond professionally to guest concerns and involve management when additional assistance is required.
Communicate room status, maintenance concerns and guest requests to the appropriate department.
Complete required shift checklists, reports, logs and handoff communications.
Maintain the organization and professional appearance of the front-desk and lobby areas.
Protect guest confidentiality, hotel funds, room keys and sensitive business information.
Follow hotel safety, security, emergency and incident-reporting procedures.
Assist with additional hotel duties when reasonably needed to support guests and operations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is outgoing, dependable and comfortable assisting different types of guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer, typing and data-entry proficiency.
Ability to accurately process payments and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to organize work and manage multiple guest requests.
Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing guest concerns.
Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
Availability to work weekends and holidays based on hotel business needs.

Preferred

Previous hotel front-desk, reservation or guest-service experience.
Experience using a hotel property-management or reservation system.
Previous cash-handling or payment-processing experience.
Familiarity with Wyndham standards, systems or Wyndham Rewards.
Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
