Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Molding Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various plastics molding machines to ensure high-quality production of plastic components. Your expertise will help optimize molding processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are key.

Duties

Contribute to the overall success of the company by completing all assigned duties in a professional and timely manner.
Ability to process and operate Injection Molding Machines, and Blow Molding Machines
Monitor, maintain and recommend improvements to standard molding cycle times and part quality.
Launch new molds and obtain first piece approval to engineering standards. Develop and implement operating instructions working closely with QA.
Develop and implement well-managed process for mold changes to optimize uptime and ensure performance objectives are achieved. Continuously explore opportunities to reduce changeover times.
Ability to program and troubleshoot Injection molding robots
Ability to correctly handle/ clean all tooling and equipment without causing damage
Set molds as required by schedule and process to conform to quality standard.
Checking parts and their quality, while completing paperwork logs.
Assist maintenance when needed on the injection molding machines, blow molding and other processing equipment.

Experience

Proven experience working with plastics manufacturing processes including blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion.
Knowledge of different plastic materials and their individual characteristics
Knowledge of basic mathematics and the ability to apply it in a work situation.
Understanding of mold construction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic Computer Skills/ Ability to work a press HMI
Ability to lift 50 lbs along with other physical exertion

Schedule

We operate on a 12-hour shift 14-day rotating schedule. Shifts are either 6 AM-6 PM or 6 PM-6 AM. Every other weekend availability required. Within the 14-day rotation our employees only work 7 days.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
