SUMMARY The Campus Director is the senior leader responsible for the overall success, operations, growth, and community presence of the campus. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the campus effectively advances the mission and vision of nonPareil while delivering high-quality programs and successful outcomes for every student.
The Campus Director oversees campus operations, administration, program delivery, admissions and enrollment, staff leadership, student success, financial performance, community partnerships, fundraising and donor development, marketing and public relations, and relationships with families, business partners, educational institutions, resource providers, and the broader community.
As the primary campus leader, the Campus Director creates alignment across operational and program functions, develops a high-performing team, builds sustainable community relationships, and identifies opportunities for campus growth. The role requires an executive-level leader who can balance operational excellence with program quality, community engagement, financial stewardship, and long-term organizational growth.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Campus Leadership & Operations
- Provide overall leadership and direction for campus operations, ensuring that daily activities support the mission, vision, strategic priorities, and standards of nonPareil.
- Oversee campus administrative functions, including human resources, procurement, facilities, volunteers, events, communications, and other operational activities.
- Establish and maintain systems, processes, and accountability measures that promote operational efficiency and a high-quality campus experience.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop campus staff, providing direction, support, performance management, and problem resolution as needed.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing campus culture focused on student success, staff engagement, operational excellence, and organizational goals.
- Collaborate closely with program, technical, development, administrative, and organizational leadership teams to ensure effective coordination of campus activities.
- Serve as the primary campus liaison with executive leadership, other nonPareil sites, advisory boards, and organizational teams.
Program Leadership & Student Success
- Provide executive oversight of the campus training program and ensure effective implementation and delivery of programs within established organizational standards and campus capacity.
- Work closely with program leadership and instructors to monitor student progress toward successful outcomes and identify opportunities to improve engagement and achievement.
- Ensure appropriate assessment of student progress and that accommodations, support strategies, and training needs are addressed appropriately.
- Promote a campus-wide approach to student success by ensuring effective communication and collaboration among program staff, students, families, and other appropriate stakeholders.
- Serve as an executive-level resource for resolving significant student, family, program, and operational issues.
- Ensure effective coordination of advising, scheduling, work-readiness, social skills, and other program related activities.
- Oversee processes for collecting, managing, and using data related to student progress, program outcomes, enrollment, and campus performance.
- Ensure that program decisions and campus operations remain focused on creating opportunities for empowerment, exploration, accomplishment, and successful transition into professional environments.
Admissions, Enrollment & Campus Growth
- Provide strategic oversight of admissions, intake, tours, and onboarding activities.
- Ensure admissions and enrollment activity is aligned with program offerings, campus capacity, and approved admissions guidelines.
- Work with staff to provide prospective students and families with a welcoming, informative, and well coordinated experience throughout the admissions process.
- Develop and execute strategies to strengthen enrollment, campus visibility, community awareness, and sustainable growth.
- Identify new referral sources and opportunities to expand awareness of nonPareil among families, educational institutions, public school transition programs, vocational rehabilitation organizations, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Community Partnerships & External Relations
- Serve as a highly visible ambassador for nonPareil and its mission within the local community.
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with business partners, donors, civic organizations, educational institutions, families, resource providers, vocational rehabilitation organizations, and other community stakeholders.
- Build strategic partnerships that create opportunities for students and strengthen campus programs, employment pathways, community engagement, and organizational visibility.
- Represent nonPareil at civic meetings, educational institutions, professional organizations, community events, and other appropriate forums.
- Make presentations and communicate effectively with external audiences to increase awareness and understanding of nonPareil's mission and programs.
- Develop a strong network of community advocates, referral partners, employers, and supporters who understand and advance the mission of nonPareil.
- Coordinate with outside organizations, partners, and providers to advance campus initiatives and support student success.
Fundraising & Development
- Partner with the development team and executive leadership to support donor acquisition, donor development, fundraising strategies, sponsorships, and fundraising events.
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, business leaders, and community supporters.
- Represent the campus in fundraising and development activities and identify opportunities to increase philanthropic and community support.
- Support campus initiatives that strengthen the organization's financial sustainability and long-term growth.
Financial & Fiduciary Management
- Provide oversight of the campus budget and financial performance.
- Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ongoing monitoring of campus financial activity.
- Ensure campus resources are used responsibly and in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Review operational and financial information to identify trends, address challenges, and support sustainable campus growth.
- Escalate significant financial, operational, or compliance concerns to executive leadership as appropriate.
Marketing, Public Relations & Communications
- Oversee campus public relations, marketing, media, and communications activities in coordination with organizational leadership.
- Increase awareness of nonPareil and its programs through community engagement, presentations, events, partnerships, and other appropriate channels.
- Serve as a spokesperson and representative of the campus as appropriate.
- Ensure campus communications accurately and consistently reflect the mission, programs, student impact, and values of nonPareil.
Organizational Leadership & Collaboration
- Participate in organizational strategic planning and contribute insight regarding campus performance, community needs, growth opportunities, and emerging priorities.
- Collaborate with other campus leaders and organizational departments to coordinate initiatives, share best practices, and address cross-campus priorities.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and ensure timely resolution or escalation of significant issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education, nonprofit management, disability services, business, mental health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in nonprofit, education, human services, or another mission-driven organization.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, operations, programs, or multiple organizational functions.
- Proven leadership experience in driving team performance and achieving organizational goals.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining relationships with community partners, educational institutions, businesses, families, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with community engagement, fundraising, donor development, public relations, or external relations preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, forecasting, or operational planning.
- Experience working with adults with autism and/or the neurodiverse community strongly preferred.
- Experience working with families and individuals with disabilities or other diverse support needs preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members while holding staff accountable for performance and outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to synthesize information quickly and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Strong judgment, discretion, problem-solving ability, and the ability to manage complex issues effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission of nonPareil and to creating meaningful opportunities for adults with autism.
LEADERSHIP PROFILE
The successful Campus Director will be a strategic, visible, collaborative, and community-oriented leader who can balance operational excellence, program quality, student success, and sustainable growth.
This individual will be comfortable moving between executive-level responsibilities and the day-to-day realities of campus leadership—reviewing financial performance, coaching staff, addressing student and family needs, developing community partnerships, engaging donors, supporting admissions, and representing nonPareil throughout the community.
The Campus Director should be an effective ambassador for the organization who can translate the mission of nonPareil into meaningful relationships, opportunities, and measurable outcomes for the campus and its students.
