Full Job Description

D’Arcy Johnson Day Lawyers is hiring a Legal Assistant

We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant to join the team in our Egg Harbor Township office. At DJD we believe in work-life balance; we work hard, and the days are fast-paced but we also make plenty of time to relax and have fun. Although preferred, professional legal experience is not required- if you are hard-working, willing to learn, and enjoy being part of a team, we can teach you the skills and procedures needed to make you successful in the position. Hourly compensation will be based on experience.

Duties:

· Organize and maintain physical and electronic files

· Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain legal databases

· Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff

· Answer phone calls

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

· Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents

· Utilize document management systems to track and retrieve files

· New client intakes

· Scheduling

· Drafting basic correspondence

Requirements:

· Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

· Ability to take directions and work as part of a team

· Hard working and reliable

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a legal setting

· Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required

· Strong computer skills

· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people of the phone

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
